GCCCU Matched Savings and Financial Empowerment Program
Greater Cleveland Saves - Matched Savings Program, a new initiative designed to help individuals and working families build savings, strengthen financial habits, and advance long-term financial stability.
The Matched Savings Program provides participants with a dollar-for-dollar match on a 1:1 basis for every dollar saved, up to $450 over a savings period between six to nine months.

Commit to a structured, regular savings plan over the program term

Complete several short sessions designed to reinforce positive financial behaviors
Financial Empowerment sessions are short, focused and practical, emphasizing foundational money management skills that support saving, planning, and informed financial decision-making. Matched savings funds are awarded upon the completion of program requirements including the achievement of agreed upon savings goal.
Partner Organizations: Cuyahoga County Financial Empowerment Center, CHN Housing Partners, Breadwinners Academy, HFLA, and 100 Black Men of Greater Cleveland, Inc.
Funding Availability: Funding for the Matched Savings and Financial Empowerment Program is limited. Anyone Interested in the Greater Cleveland Saves initiative is encouraged to apply as soon as enrollment opens on June 1, 2026.
